Preschool Gardening Project
(學前教育機構的大自然環境設計學習資源套)

This e-learning package uses Augmented Reality (AR) to introduce the characteristics and growing methods of different plants. The AR allows students to learn at their own pace and inspires students to design learning activities and school gardens which could be used in their teaching.

Mathematics: Cross sections (S1)

This module uses a cooking theme for its design and development. Students can learn different cross-sections of different shapes (salad ingredients): cone (carrot), a triangular prism (cheese), cuboid (crab stick) and cylinder (cucumber).

This module applied AR technology to deliver the cross-section concept of different food ingredients. Students can use their smartphones to scan the Zapcode through Zappar app. The animation will then be triggered and played automatically on their screen.

Mathematical concepts can sometimes be abstract and vague, so using cartoons and daily examples to present this concept can help students visualize the idea more vividly. Also, students can replay the cross-section animations as many times as they want which can promote their self-regulated learning.

Chinese module (S2)

This module applied AR to introduce 10 sceneries described in the poem from the selected Chinese poem "天淨沙·秋思". Students can watch the animation and display cards by scanning the Zapcode in the Chinese booklet. They can use the imageries to visualize the poem in a vivid manner. The learning booklet separated the whole poem into different small scenes, giving students an immersive learning experience to understand the poet's emotions.

Smart Inclusive Sports

This workshop integrates Augmented Reality (AR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create a smart inclusive game that embodies universal design principles. The "Smart CUHK Challenge" invites participants to experience the future of interactive fitness through innovative AR and AI-driven fitness games tailored for inclusivity.

 

This workshop showcases how technology can break barriers in sports, empowering individuals with disabilities by customizing games that cater to diverse abilities.
