INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN
Hi, I am Giovanna Tang, a Manager at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, launching a Smart CUHK Challenge with the theme of smart inclusion. It provides an experimentation platform and resources to support students and staff to actively address challenging questions and propose innovative solutions for the development of a smart inclusive CUHK campus.
A previous project that I led was called the e-Pedagogy project, with a focus on designing and renovating a technology-enhanced learning and teaching laboratory called e-Learning Pedagogy Space and providing support on co-designing e-pedagogy with faculty members in enhancing the quality of online/hybrid learning and teaching. I conducted professional development workshops for faculty members in trialing and adopting innovative and emerging Edtech tools (e.g., VR, AR, etc.) into their lessons.
I am also a doctoral student in Learning Design and Performance Technology at Florida State University. My research interests focus on how instructors at higher education institutions design and develop online learning and teaching materials using emerging technologies and how instructional designers support in building capacity of instructors through professional development.
This personal website showcases some of the current and former project deliverables that I participated in the instructional design process with the instructors at the universities in Hong Kong.
